Hair Salon in Tysons & Falls Church, VA

HairSocial is a hair salon with two Northern Virginia locations: one inside Tysons Galleria on International Drive, and one in Idylwood Plaza on Leesburg Pike in Falls Church. Both do haircuts, blowouts, color, keratin smoothing, conditioning treatments and extensions. Both are open Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm, Saturday from 9am to 6pm, and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

Every color appointment starts with a consultation, and the consultation is complimentary. Same-day appointments are often available, and you can book an appointment here or call the location you want.

We use the Wella color line exclusively

All of our color is Wella. Koleston Perfect for full-coverage color and grays, Illumina Color when the goal is lighter and more luminous, Color Touch and Shinefinity for tone and gloss, and Blondor for lightening. Working inside one color system is a practical advantage rather than a marketing line: your formula is recorded and repeatable, so the shade you leave with is the shade we build on at your next visit.

Color services include balayage, ombre, full and partial highlights, babylights, money piece, single process color, gray coverage, toner and glaze. Starting prices for every service are listed on our salon services menu.

What a color consultation actually covers

A consultation is where we look at your hair’s current condition, its color history and how much lift the plan needs. If your hair has been colored at home, we do a strand test before committing to a formula, because box color can react in ways a professional line does not. If the change you want takes more than one visit to reach safely, we tell you that at the consultation rather than partway through the appointment.

That honesty matters most on big lightening jobs. Going several levels lighter on previously colored hair is a staged process, and staging it protects the hair you already have.

Cuts, blowouts and smoothing

Our cutting work covers women’s cuts, men’s cuts, kids’ cuts, bang and fringe trims, and dry cuts. A blowout is available on its own or with any color service, and we run a blow dry membership for clients who want a standing appointment.

For smoothing, we offer Brazilian Blowout keratin treatment. It reduces frizz and cuts down drying time, and how long it lasts depends on your hair and how you wash it. Read more on our keratin treatment page.

Conditioning and repair

Our conditioning treatments include Kérastase Fusio-Dose, split-end repair and scalp treatments. These are add-on services during a color or cut appointment, and your stylist will tell you plainly whether a treatment will help your hair or whether a trim would do more.

Serving Tysons, McLean, Vienna, Falls Church and Arlington

The Tysons salon sits on the ground floor of Tysons Galleria, with garage access by Lucky Strike at the Dock 8 entrance, which puts it within a short drive of McLean, Vienna and Great Falls. The Falls Church salon has free surface parking at Idylwood Plaza and is close to Seven Corners, Merrifield and Arlington. Both locations offer the same services at the same starting prices.
